Rotating and Lifting Head Pt3 - 2007/09/05 22:22 This thread discusses the Content article: Rotating and Lifting Head Pt3

Thats pretty cool! I love what you've done with your little VDU with the large text Im going to have to try that on mine!

Were the plastic blocks made for you? How did you solve the problems of the picaxes locking up when they wait for serial data?

Re:Rotating and Lifting Head Pt3 - 2007/09/05 22:47 The plastic was supplied and cut into strips by eSheet.

The Picaxes just wait for serial commands, carry out whatever they need to do and then go back and wait for another command. So for instance you send a command to rotate clockwise 30 clicks, at a speed of 20ms between pulses, and maintain holding power - it does that and comes back to wait for the next command.

Of course there are two picaxes - one for each axis, so I can flash the lights and rotate at the same time, or raise the head while rotating it.
