K9 Java Control Project - 2007/07/28 19:19 This thread discusses the Content article: K9 Java Control Project

looks interesting but I had a few difficulties running the program. When I entered
java -jar k9.jar into the command prompt I got a message saying that there is a mismatch between version RXTX-2.1-8 and version RXTX-2.1-7 because the serial port was unavailable. I got it working when I changed the ports settings to use COM3. Is there anyway to configure the serial port outside of the program?

Re:K9 Java Control Project - 2007/07/30 07:19 Check out the PDF that I posted in the article with the downloads - there's a command line switch to specify a different com port.

Re:K9 Java Control Project - 2007/08/03 01:09 Very interesting project!

I've been dipping my toes into Java recently and I like what I see. Free IDE and excellent tutorials from Sun seals the deal, I think. I'm going to continue my front-end development (navigation/mapping/GUI) in Java, it looks like it will be pretty easy to port my existing C++ code over to Java.

Interesting ... glad to see you continue working on WBOS.
