B R A I N - 2007/07/24 21:18 This thread discusses the Content article: B R A I N

does it work in the same way as Brian, i.e. you open up a port to it and send it commands to parse? Will you release it to the forum?

Re:B R A I N - 2007/07/25 00:15 Conceptually yes. There's a client piece and a server piece and the client can open up a socket connection to the server. It's a little different though in that the client and server are the same code, so it's much easier to install than Brian (no windows services, etc).

I may release it to the forum asa technology preview depending on demand, and contingent upon permission from WBR as it includes some of their IP (the .net controls).

Re:B R A I N - 2007/07/25 00:31 I don't think WBR will have an issue with the inclusion of the .NET controls as they are provided to drive development and adoption of the 914.

The only restriction that I think was discussed was that they should only be used with WBR branded hardware - i.e. you shouldn't make a clone M3 / robot product and use the .NET controls to write the supporting software (which is fair enough really).

Please do ... very interested. Could that be utilized in VB.NET code as well?

Thanks. The app is completely self-contained, in that it's a comprehensive application. It's not really a set of .net controls to be used by VB, etc.
