914 Media Server - 2007/06/28 23:55 This thread discusses the Content article: 914 Media Server

I cooked the man's face up myself using some graphics software btw. If anyone wants a woman's / child's face then I'll generate you some more images - or just use a photo of yourself maybe

Re:914 Media Server - 2007/07/01 03:33 i try media application but after a few question!?. i have small touchscreen for use with robot PC video output and USB mouse input.

i want to mak other picture appear of female and some other object for interactive game. mak other image is easy to appear by place in /images dir!. but how to mak player feedback for game?

this game is written in visual basic - like a think called tic-tac-toe?, so like in great movie robot must say "do you want to play game" ! and then game start. also image is touch by player to win prizes!

the code for game is finish and socket API is in writing now, send data back from mdeia server is all to work.

Re:914 Media Server - 2007/07/01 07:03 The tutorial I linked to in the article has example code in C# for 'two way' communication with sockets - so you can send data back from the server to the client, as well as receive it. So then you just need to code your game/client applicaion to receive the data and do something, then respond I guess.

One question - why do you need to have network based comms between the game application and the Bot / user interface?. Why not just run the game on the Bot and use the screen you have plugged into to just display the application like any normal game?

Re:914 Media Server - 2007/07/01 07:28 ha ha yes! i realize this is true! but in the case of this there will be more than one player of game so many bots or people may play on network using there bots to play game!

i will look at tutorial more, i think that when is .NET then VB and C# is very mch similar for many of standard item

also bot will spin and shake on the wheels when player is winner or GAME OVER!!!!
