White Box Robotics on TV - 2007/06/01 13:35 This thread discusses the Content article: White Box Robotics on TV

Grunt, congrats - the interview looks like it went well. You could attach a taser to the bot to take down the others...that stroke software guy was giving you the evil eye.

Richard, are you of Frontline or Whitebox? The video seems to indicate you are now a Whitebox guy. Haven't heard from Tom in awhile, what's he up to?

I see from press releases that Sue is back...how's our spokeswoman doing?

Re:White Box Robotics on TV - 2007/06/03 04:11 Hi Irish, just thought I'd answer your questions as I know that Rich (and everyone at WBR) is really busy.

The brand is White Box Robotics, so anything related to 914's has WBR stamped on it basically.

You're right - Sue is at WBR, I spoke to both Sue and Tom the other day - Tom is very much around, working very hard on lots of stuff.

Even though you may not hear from the WBR crew for a few weeks at a time, there is A LOT going on in the background, rest assured the sprit of PC Bots is very much alive and well - I think that's pretty much shown in the two videos...

Re:White Box Robotics on TV - 2007/06/03 05:23 I think the question was more about organization and who is doing what and not what they are doing in general ... at least that is what came to my mind after reading the .Net press release here ...

http://www.whiteboxrobotics.com/NEWS/PressReleases05.html

"We think this will spark the addition of robots into everyday life," said Jeremy James, CEO and President of Frontline Robotics. "Why not deploy a mobile robot with masses of data into busy working environments when it is now so simple to do?" he added.

... and listening to the CTV video clip. Glad to hear that WBR is busy.

Re:White Box Robotics on TV - 2007/06/03 08:05 Right - a pure curiosity question since I thought GRUNT was CEO - the press release indicated otherwise.

I was glad to see Sue back since I thought she had left - she had always been nice in answering my emails.

Re:White Box Robotics on TV - 2007/06/04 12:17 Let's see if I can clear this up.

Tom is Founder and Chief Robotics Officer for White Box Robotics
Jeremy is President and CEO of Frontline Robotics
Sue is working with Frontline and White Box in Business Development.
I am President of White Box Robotics

Re:White Box Robotics on TV - 2007/06/05 07:43 That clears things up.

So, who makes the coffee in the office? One of the bots? We have somebody in our office who makes it - nice gal, but the properties of coffee beans and hot water seem just beyond her grasp.

Maybe - now I'm just spitballing here...maybe we could set up a chat room some day where we could have all the board enthusiasts together at once to discuss 914 issues live - a kind of live online 914 convention. Timing would be a challenge due to the worldwide nature of the community, but Poland usually goes underappreciated anyway.

Just a thought.
